One of my longest pursuits, fascinations, has been the liminal space between waking and sleeping. The idea of revealing subsconscious imagery, of accessing the unconscious, holds a promise of discovery, a glimpse into the hidden reality.

In the interest of exploring and recording here, I trained myself to draw through the transition. I would begin drawing while awake with my eyes closed, and continue into the hypnogogic state, and briefly, into sleep. The resulting drawings are gestural, abstract yet full of images, and reflect their fluid creation.
